Due to this growth they are searching for a Financial Crime (FCC) Monitoring and Testing Assistant Manager to join their highly skilled analytics function in Edinburgh. The successful (FCC) Monitoring and Testing Assistant Manager applicant will be part of a Global FCC Monitoring and Testing team that: · Understands and evaluates systems used to manage FCC risk in accordance to global and regional policies/regulation. · Manages the identification, sourcing, analysis and reporting of compliance data flowing into systems used to manage FCC risk (customers, transactions etc.) and out from these systems (alerts etc.) for multiple compliance testing reviews in a data science capacity. · Fosters a “team” approach to compliance testing, working with colleagues globally and regionally. The (FCC) Monitoring and Testing Assistant Manager maintains a current knowledge of business systems and processes, so that testing design can properly identify the population for testing, testing conclusions are accurate, and results provide reliable insights into the state of compliance. The (FCC) Monitoring and Testing Assistant Manager also will establish working relationships with business partners and across Global Businesses, Global Functions, and jurisdictions within the second line of defence, in order to obtain reasonable assurance that the Business is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, codes and Group Standards within Financial Crime Compliance. Key Accountabilities · Maintains current knowledge of business processes and operations and compliance requirements, and pertinent internal regulatory policy and procedural changes. · Support the team in the evaluation of business controls and operational risks related to technology systems, and report findings on data integrity weaknesses. · Provide guidance to the business and Compliance Management in determining the effectiveness of their compliance control environment. · Carry out all aspects of testing activities from all scoping, population identification, sample sizes, and selections, testing conclusions and application to the total population. Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications · Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. FCC (Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption), conducting end to end reviews including planning, field work, report writing and issue tracking. · Proven and progressive financial services audit, operations and/or compliance experience or equivalent, preferably in a large bank environment and/or experience in a relevant role, i.e. consultancy, analytics, internal audit, first line or second line conducting end to end FCC reviews. · Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Fircosoft, Oracle Watchlist Screening (OWS), Norkom etc. is desirable but not essential · Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred. · Good managerial, communications, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, project management and planning skills. · Strong proficiency in automated tools and techniques such as SQL Server, Hadoop, Excel and data analytical tools such as ACL, Qlikview, Spotfire, R or SAS. · Working knowledge of assigned businesses, products, operations, systems and organization and understanding of all significant regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the business. · Understanding of operational risks and associated business workflows. · Experience with forensic data testing design and interpreting data queries. · Proficiency with banking systems, databases, and banking products. The ideal (FCC) Monitoring and Testing Assistant Manager candidate will have experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. FCC (AML, ABC, Sanctions) leading end to end reviews including planning, field work, report writing and issue tracking experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. FCC, Risk and controls. Past working experience would include working in a relevant role, i.e. Internal audit.
