SALARY: £26,000 - £32,000 (neg) Bonus, Pension, Benefits & Package LOCATION: Easy commutable areas to this job include Nottingham, Mansfield, Derby, Matlock, Ashbourne, Chesterfield, Hucknall, Belper, Worksop and other local areas in the East Midlands. THE ROLE: This new permanent position has been created within the Projects Department working for an Internationally renowned engineering company based from their East Midlands HQ near Mansfield. Joining as a CAD Engineer you will be trained and developed to become an expert mechanical project engineer supplying industrial engineering markets. Working with a team of CAD Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers, you will be playing a vital role helping deliver state of the art and industry leading mechanical solutions to the water, oil/gas, utilities, power generation, manufacturing and process sectors in the UK and abroad. Using software packages that include Inventor, AutoCAD & SolidWorks, you will be working on a wide variety of projects from quick turnaround solutions to large scale multimillion pound contracts for some of the worlds leading engineering firms. This role is perfectly suited for someone looking to build on their career/qualifications gained to date and be consistently progressed, trained and developed within an engineering organisation who's priority is to promote from within. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Essentially you will be an ambitious and dedicated person looking to further your skills and train to become an expert project engineer/manager. We are looking for candidates who have a background in engineering (ideally mechanical) and have had some commercial/industrial exposure in a similar CAD role working with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks OR similar software package. Living locally to the areas listed above, you will have aspirations to move into project management and beyond whilst having a genuine interest in engineering. Suitable mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous as would any experience in the water, power generation, manufacturing, oil/gas or process engineer markets. Working knowledge of pipework, valves, pumps and supporting equipment would be a real bonus.
