A fantastic opportinity has arisen for a B usiness Development / Account Manager working for a leading engineering company in Maidstone, Kent. This Business Development Manager role will cover the South of England and will promote all company products to the market and increase market share by selling to new customers and achieving company objectives set out by the management team. Promote the brand and values to all client groups. Main Responsibilities: Actively see potential and existing customers Build on an existing service business Build on an existing waste disposal business Ascertain and investigate new routes to market for existing products Build relations with major contractors in your geographical area Identify and target specifies i.e. Architects, Consultant Engineers, Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Design & Build Contractors and Quantity Surveyors Build relations with National Merchant contract AND estimating teams sharing market intelligence and obtaining quote log. Construct and deliver tailor made product and service presentations on request to each customer group. Assist with setting up and attending exhibitions as required. The right person: Field sales experience, ideally within in the water industry Ability to self-motivate to achieve and exceed targets, maintaining professional standards of behaviour and attitude, as well as keeping order and discipline. Ability to deal with a variety of issues, demonstrating effective time management, organizational skills and problem solving ability First class telephone skills - polite manner, customer responsive attitude. Be well presented with excellent communication skills; both verbal and written Good negotiation skills. Strong analytical skills, financial awareness and keen commercial acumen Good technical understanding of boilers and heating systems. IT literate with ability to learn new systems and to present data in a clear and unambiguous format Self-starter with a proactive attitude to all tasks. Strategic thinker with ability to implement and make things happen. Ability to deal with customers in an effective and diplomatic manner.
