With ever growing student numbers, we make sure our people are engaged and empowered by blending digital technologies, international perspectives, work-oriented connections and inspirational teaching. Together we're on a journey to transform our students' lives. And it starts with people like you.
About the role
This is a new exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with staff and managers across the University to support the Equality Objectives and raise the profile of Equality and Diversity across the organisation, both to students and staff.

Leading on events such as the annual Equalities Week and joint Equality Forum, the role will be a co-ordinator, working with a variety of Staff, Management, Students Union Representatives, Unions, and external organisations, both to monitor progress against objectives and to identify innovative and engaging opportunities to strengthen the equality message.
About you (requirements)
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, working with tact and diplomacy, an ability to challenge the status quo and inspire new ways of thinking. An ability to analyse data and understand the wider organisational picture, whilst thinking creatively to identify innovative solutions.
They will have a proven ability to use initiative and to respond appropriately to situations as they arise and have a proactive and positive approach to work.
They will be able to work both independently and within a team environment; with conflicting priorities and pressures. We are looking for someone committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, though previous experience in an equality role is not essential.
