SP1-4 £22,991 - £26,621
Based in Leeds City Centre

WYCA promotes the Leeds City Region’s interests on a national and international scale, enabling business and enterprise to thrive and unlocking potential through partnership. Our vision is to develop the City Region as an economic powerhouse, creating jobs and prosperity for all who live and do business in the region.

WYCA offers free support to regionally-based small businesses through the Growth Service, a one-stop-shop helping small and medium-sized (SME) businesses in the region to find the right support and funding to realise their growth ambitions. The Resource Efficiency Fund (REF) is a new business support product for SMEs that will provide businesses with free resource efficiency assessments, wrap around support to implement recommendations, and potential for grant funding towards the cost of installing improvements. Resource efficiency is defined as any action or intervention that results in the reduction in overall material usage (waste, energy or water) by a business, or in greenhouse gas emissions.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the delivery of this important new service for the Region’s SMEs. Experience and knowledge of project and contract support in a European and publicly funded context is essential. Excellent planning, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required, as well as experience of budget and communications administration.

The post will be part-funded by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020, and the Local Growth Fund.

Please note that the successful candidate will be employed by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) but will work within the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (The LEP).
