Our client, a leading Freight Forwarder, is seeking to recruit an experienced and successful UK based European Roadfreight Account Manager to be based out of their Northampton offices. Operating their own services carrying freight for all industry sectors, whether Groupage or Full load trailers, our client is able to offer an excellent service at a competitive market rate. The role of European Roadfreight Account Manager will be to be build a portfolio of customers in and throughout the given territory. Generating and sourcing new sales leads, initiating contact, attending sales appointments, quoting and negotiating rates, winning business, account managing and retaining customers. UK based European Roadfreight sales experience and a proven track record of new business acquisition within the industry is essential. You will be a confident sales professional with a comprehensive understanding of freight forwarding and the logistics market place. Excellent customer facing, presentation and negotiation skills. Competent with administration and can cope with the pressures of a targeted environment. Being capable of approaching key opportunities from a consultative standpoint. The ability to negotiate at senior level and being able to interact with all buying influences. Being capable of working on your own initiative as well as working in a close knit team environment.
