A permanent job opportunity for a lead PHP developer to work for a growing energy company based in Bury Your new company A well established supplier to businesses around the UK who operate in the Energy and Utilities sector, this organisation have seen significant growth in the last 12 months and are now in a position to invest heavily in the upgrading of their new website to match their business dreams. This business have been in operation since the 1990's and pride themselves on providing excellent customer service, passion and attention to detail. Your new role As a lead developer you will be responsible for providing support and mentorship to the development team, The team will be focusing on greenfield projects, responsible for the development of applications and software for the business . As part of the role you will be developing server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for building and integrating the front-end elements into the application. You will be working in an agile environment, involved in the full lifecycle of the project. What you'll need to succeed To succeed within this role you will need a strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, Yii, Phalcon, in addition to an understanding of MVC design patterns. You will need an excellent knowledge of Javascript, HTML and CSS. You will have a knowledge of the integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system. You will also be a team focused individual with a desire to train and mentor junior members of staff within the business.
