Our client is a leading media brand for the telecom and media sector. They have been established since 1997 and their products include news and analysis publishing, award programmes and conferences. They are a truly global business with customers in more than 200 countries and a community of more than 100,000 industry executives. They are looking for an individual to join their London based business development team. The successful candidate will be selling high value packages to a blue-chip client base, including event sponsorships and publishing solutions. The role will be based in their central London offices and will involve selling over the telephone as well as attending face-to-face meetings and events, both in the UK and overseas. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated graduate, capable of communicating at board level with a high degree of confidence. It is essential that you can express yourself clearly over the telephone, conduct yourself professionally in meetings, and explain propositions in a compelling manner in writing. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years' experience in selling B2B sponsorship and/or exhibition space for an events or media business.
