As a major provider of further, higher and adult education to over 10,000 students, their staff have quality at the heart of everything they do. They are now looking to appoint a 0.6 Lecturer to teach A-Level Sociology, Access units in Sociology and Psychology. Joining the Social Sciences teaching team which comprises 3 members of staff, you will contribute to the development of existing and new provision, implementing flexible and cost effective teaching and learning styles. You will complete administrative work connected with your teaching such as; completing registers, records of work and various forms of student progress sheets. To be successful in this role, candidates should hold a degree or professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the school and have excellent teaching skills, with experience of A-Level Sociology. Candidates who can teach A-Level Psychology are highly desirable. With the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, you will have energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for pastoral work, your subject and education and have the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
