Transport Coordinator Required PRS are currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to work at one of our clients Retail Distribution centres. Our client is the UK’s fastest growing retailer from the initial 21 stores and one distribution centre in 2004 – they have now grown to over 500 stores and 6 distribution centres within the UK and is continuing to grow . The purpose of this role is to ensure that all transport related administration is completed as per the requirements of our transport operation. This position is working a four on four off rotation. Main Duties & Responsibilities as a Transport Coordinator · Ensuring that all transport related tasks are complete including all administration, customer contact, dealing with driver related issues & problem solving. · Creating and maintaining an accurate records system and ensure that all queries are dealt with. · Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport statistics & reports. · Ensuring that all staff are debriefed in conjunction with the debrief system and that all paperwork is accurately completed and signed. · Ensuring returned tachographs are completed in full when returned and filed in accordance with legal compliance. · Handling day to day queries from drivers, customers and other internal departments. · Liaising with stores to keep them up to date with any delivery problems. · Carrying out 'Front of house' duties in issuing paperwork, keys etc. · Assisting the department in taking all drivers phone queries, and logging all calls. · Willing to undertake any other duties in relation to the Transport Department as reasonably required. Essential Requirements · Excellent administration skills including · Literacy & Numerical skills · Excellent communication & customer service skills · Good computer MS Office knowledge · Excellent organisation skills · Confident telephone manner with a diplomatic approach · Reliability and a high level of integrity · Proven experience working as part of a team as well as on own initiative · Ability to work under pressure Desirable · Previous experience within the transport industry· · Have a good working knowledge of Transport Legislation· · Knowledge of WTD in regards to Drivers Hours Regulations & tachograph compliance· · A good geographical knowledge of the UK For more information on this role please contact Abby Wilkinson This job was originally posted as
