A Social Housing provider in the Flintshire area are recruiting for a Community Safety Officer Duties & responsibilities will include: To assist the Housing Manager with the continuous review of theprocedure and strategy on anti-social behaviour, ensuring they are updated in line with changes in legislation and best practice. To identify tenancy related support needs and aspirations of residents and ensure that the appropriate person centred actions are taken to enable referrals to the relevant partners and agencies, to prevent tenancy failures. To be the primary point of contact for joint agency working on Anti- Social Behaviour and other multi-agency solutions for dealing with anti-social behaviour. Prepare detailed reports on progress and statistics regarding the response to anti-social behaviour for the Housing Manager and Senior Manager. Prepare files and paperwork for legal action and presentation to court, attending court as a professional witness if necessary. Promote anti-social behaviour initiatives and success widely through a variety of media and develop and implement preventative and diversionary measures in dealing with anti-social behaviour. Assist in developing problem solving groups and co-ordinating relevant agencies to ensure timely and appropriate action. To respond to queries. complaints and requests received from customers and stakeholders within the agreed customer timescales. This includes Councillor and MP enquiries. In some instances this will involve referrals to relevant agencies and the co-ordination of a multi-agency approach to ensure a successful outcome. To providing cover as requested by the Housing Manager or Senior Housing Officers to ensure that a seamless service is delivered at all times. Skills required: Understanding of housing management and legislation relating to ASB Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to compile reports and deal with written correspondence. Strong interpersonal skills, able to network and form effective links with different agencies and organisations. Ability to work as part of a team, and with staff at all levels and Elected Members. IT skills and knowledge (Windows and MS Office) Good organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight timescales and standards. Ability to make decisions and work on own initiative.
