As Primary Commercial Manager you will be responsible for commercial sales and planning of raw materials. You will be the key account manager for retailers and wholesalers, as well as work closely with the procurement team to ensure client requirements are met. A fantastic opportunity for someone with either agricultural, livestock or FMCG experience. Key Responsibilities: Day to day management of sales into UK and mainland Europe. Ensure that internal requirements are met for all sites. Development of the weekly plan ensuring not only customer requirements but that opportunities for growth are capitalised. Working closely alongside Procurement to ensure that any commercial opportunities are exploited. Key Account Management for retailers and wholesalers. Commercial: Working closely with the accounts department supporting credit control, new customer applications, annual customer finance reviews. Continually review aspects of the operational process to identify improvement opportunities, production and cost saving methods, and monitor and reduce production costs and monthly overheads where possible. Daily review of the market place in terms of price and volume movements to ensure that opportunities are capitalised. Weekly review of stock levels and prices and ensure that this is in line with the companies agreed levels. Reviewing profit margins against forecasted budget on weekly basis. Review stock level for production both daily and weekly, ensuring the correct stock rotation process is adhered to. Oversee production planning, any surpluses or resulting issues to be resolved or brought to a group level. Ensuring key commercial objectives are met around existing and new product lines. Working with all relevant functions involved with this process. Working with department managers to ensure that production areas are kept clean and tidy and visitor ready at all times. Oversee and ensure that preparation is carried out prior to all visits, and accompany visitors as and when required. Liaise with Site Technical Manager to ensure quality standards are being maintained. Attend the weekly Senior Management Team Meeting. General Management: Ensure that all Departments conform to Company Codes of Practice, Policies, legislation and customer requirements. Conduct performance and development appraisals. Responsible for the development of staff and for personal development. Ensure compliance with Employee Handbook for all employees. Maintain good employee relations and promote equality of opportunity.
