There is a current skills gap that requires thousands of new engineers in the forthcoming years. Our partner employer is one of largest providers of labour to the UK rail sector. As a Railway Engineering Track Operative, you should: be physically fit have manual dexterity and a mechanical aptitude enjoy working outdoors be a team player be safety conscious have the ability to use automated and manual tools have good communication skills be able to pass a railway medical and drug & alcohol test (zero tolerance) have good hearing and eyesight, including normal colour vision. We currently have limited places available to complete Network Rail PTS and Track Induction training, linked to current railway engineering vacancies.
