GRADUATE DESIGN COORDINATOR, LEADING DEVELOPER (HERTFORDSHIRE) BSc in Architectural Technology OR something similar (will consider placement year) BUT preferably this is a permanent opportunity About the Company: Opportunity to work for one of the largest residential developers in the UK, building new homes and communities across England, Scotland and Wales. Overall Purpose You will provide technical support at all stages of the development process, from initial viability to design development, gaining technical consents and providing input to all other departments and selected contractors during construction. Key Activities · Management of external consultants to ensure information is received, co-ordinated and distributed on time. · Input into land appraisal processes. · Attend and contribute to project meetings ensuring that all necessary actions are completed in a timely manner. · Manage the distribution and control of drawings and documents using “doc hosting” programme · Liaise with local Planning Authorities, Highway Authorities, statutory undertakers and consultants, etc. during development design. · Liaison with the consultant utility providers to provide timely service quotations and designs. · Liaison and coordination with other internal departments as necessary. · Management and verification of conveyance plans. · Maintain departmental progress spread sheets and filing systems where necessary. Skills and Experience · Further Education qualification in Engineering, Architecture or construction related discipline · Recent graduate or some consultancy/developer experience · Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and related software applications · Good communication skills, written and verbal Personal Specification · DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY/SOMETHING SIMILAR · Enthusiastic and driven to be successful and progress within the business · Flexible and co-operative attitude towards work · Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively with good organisational skills · Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines · Professional and able to build effective working relationships · Customer focused Salary & Package · Upto £27,000 basic · Bonus : Discretionary · Hours of work : 0830-1700hrs Monday to Thurs & Friday finish early - 0800-1530hrs · Holiday - 26 days holiday (3 required for Christmas) – Opportunity to purchase additional holiday through payroll once a year – holiday accrual relative to service time · BUPA medical – Extendable to Family · 3 and 5 year Share Save scheme · Sips share scheme · “Reward” Scheme · House purchase discount schemes Agency Requirements : (General) · A perceptive individual who, through a natural diplomacy, can influence people in a changing environment. · A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organized and can operate independently under a broad direction. · A team builder who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Company and outside. · A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to ‘get the job done’. · Residential experience either with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer · Degree Qualification or equivalent About me: I have been in Recruitment for three years and now specialise within Technical recruitment covering all disciplines including Architectural Technicians; Design Coordinators; Senior Coordinators; Technical Managers; Senior Technical Managers and Technical Directors.
