Strive Supply Chain are delighted to be recruiting for a superb Transport Line Manager on behalf of our client, a major distributor of Retail/FMCG for their facility close to Spalding area. This is very exciting opportunity to join a dynamic site and business model as part of a national network, providing real opportunity for the right candidate to develop themselves professionally. Therefore you will be:
·An already highly experienced transport line, departmental or shift manager, senior planner or team coordinator, ideally from an FMCG or high volume Retail driven environment - responsible for the timely and cost effective distribution of goods from DC straight to customer, utilising both a large own account fleet and subcontractors
·Responsible for your team of driver and support colleagues whom you will lead with confidence and a positive approach at all times. As first line management contact you will ensure your team is briefed/debriefed effectively, closely monitoring operational performance and resolving any issues as they arise.
·Well organised with excellent planning and time management, commercially and customer focused, able to provide consistently high levels of service delivery
·Leading and motivating your team to achieve high levels of customer service, surpassing site KPI’s by allocating resource, monitoring & managing performance, always ensuring good scheduling and planning.
·Responsible for safe and legal operation, careful adherence to compliances, team welfare, training and development, ensuring operational performance is maximised
·Expert in building effective relationships, working closely with key stakeholders and internal/external customers alike
