Job: Fire Alarm Service Engineer

An exciting opportunity has developed with a well-established Fire and Security Systems Company.

They are now looking for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer to work in Hertfordshire / London. Must have a good understanding of fire system servicing and basic reactive call fault diagnosis. Experience of Fire Extinguishers would be ideal but is not essential.

To carry out regular servicing, reactive maintenance and commissioning of various fire alarm systems, ensuring up to date knowledge of, and compliance with current British Standards is required.

Main Duties Include

    Regular routine servicing, commissioning of various Fire alarm systemsUndertake reactive calls for fault finding and the repair of faultsComplete a service report for all service visits.To work with and under instruction from you line manager complying with work instructions company policies and Health and Safety procedures.Ensure that an accurate and high standard of company documentation is maintained.Undertake ‘On-Call’ duties as with your Team.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

    A minimum of 2 years Fire Alarm system experience working with Fire Alarms and associated systemsFull, valid driving licenceA working understanding of relevant British Standards, in particular clauses relating to servicing, maintenance and commissioningFamiliarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety requirementsExcellent customer service skillsCompetent using technology such as laptops, meters, etc.To maintain and complete customer and company paperwork in a timely mannerGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a teamExcellent oral and written communication skillsA genuine interest in your work with an enthusiasm and willingness to learn and progress
