My client is an exciting Life Sciences business that is experiencing a period of growth, based in Cambridgeshire, with a real family feel to the culture and the chance to work globally.
The HR Manager role has both operational and strategic responsibilities, the key of which are:Identify and understand key business drivers and ensure effective HR initiatives and solutions are delivered to complement and enhance the performance of the business.Drive the centralised HR Operating Model across the division focused on embedding HR as Business Partners leveraging local/in-country capability. Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures. Implement and support the talent management programme using succession planning and talent grids.Proactively lead the resourcing process identifying and assessing key talent to build a talent pipeline for the division.Support the performance management process by coaching and developingmanagers' capabilities to effectively set and cascade clear goals and manage the performance and development of their employees. Ensure competitive but affordable remuneration plans are implemented to ensure the business can attract, retain and engage the necessary talent to meet the business needs Ensure all areas of the division are legally compliant in relation to all aspects of employment, including restructuring and acquisitions.Build and maintain an employee relations infrastructure that establishes a working in partnership culture. Utilise HRKPI's to demonstrate current status against targets and support decision making of correct action plans.
Contribute as a key member of the HR leadership team as well as well as the divisional leadership team.
To continuously challenge the status quo of the HR service and identify and implement continuous process improvements across all HR activities.
Ideal candidates will display the following:
A strong desire to drive a business forward
Preferably a CIPD qualification
Excellent relationship-building skills
Ability to lead a team

Demonstrable track record of operational HR delivery with in excess of 10 year's generalist HR experience at Senior Business Partner/Manager level preferably within a Life Sciences environment.Experience of working with management teams at all levels.
Experience of working in a multi-site/multi business environment.Experience of working in a fast paced dynamic environment.Highly numerate andanalyticalCan demonstrate commercial and financial awareness and understanding of a technical/scientific environment Proven expertise in employee relations with a sound understanding of employment law Strong practitioner in talent management and developmentWork with managers, coaching and advising them on all people issues Robust recruiter of talent - 'Talent Spotter' Experienced in using pay/grade structures and remuneration surveys to support effective evaluation roles and application of robust solutions for compensation and benefits.
Trained and accredited in the use and interpretation of psychometric assessment
The HR Manager role, based in Cambridgeshire, is paying £50,000 - £60,000pa, plus benefits.
