Salary: up to £47,000 + bonus & benefits

About the role

Design & implementation of complex IP networks, ensuring the infrastructure is designed and planned to defined architectural standards and meets customer requirements. Responsible for the detailed engineering of IP networks, providing technical design and planning of the company's customer serving and internal IP technical infrastructure. Undertakes Support function to troubleshoot customer networks.

Main Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

With your skills you will promote new enabling technologies for a Software Defined Networking world. Our 'All IP' media transformation project will keep you engaged; and your enthusiasm and vision will help shape our thinking.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that IP infrastructure is designed, planned and capacity managed to meet or exceed these.
- Ensure that the solutions designed and implemented are continually assessed to determine any improvements that can be made with respect to quality and costs for effective life time asset management.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Provide Architectural support and guidance on existing and future designs on the network
- Assist and manage the implementation of new networks.


- CCIE/CCNP qualified with extensive and relevant network design and implementation experience
- Experienced in the design, delivery and management of complex telecommunications systems covering radio/wireless voice, IP and media data, cellular and communications networks.
- In depth knowledge of all phases of System Design Engineering including requirements definition, design assessment, installation and commission, optimisation and in-life support.
- Experienced in supplier and customer management with good customer facing skills
- PC literate (Microsoft Office Suite - in particular Excel)
- Excellent numerical skills
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills


- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies/Prince2 knowledge
- Knowledge of Service Management methodologies/ITIL knowledge
