Position: Operational Support Team Administrator
Location: Old Trafford, Manchester
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £18,000-£20,000 per annum

About the role:

The purpose of role of the Operational Support Team is to provide assistance and support to various Client Services teams across the business which require additional resource or assistance. This could be due to an increase in work volumes, to cover staff shortages as a result of holidays.


- Developing a knowledge and understanding of AJ Bell services and products, continually considering the FCA's principles of treating customers fairly.
- Processing your workload in accordance with procedures, external, internal compliance, regulatory requirements and product rules.
- Assisting teams across all customer service departments as and when required.
- Completing a wide variety of tasks which may include some complex tasks as well as general administration processes.
- Completing any one-off tasks requested by your manager or senior manager as and when required.
- Co-operating with all teams to ensure efficient operating processes and a positive client / adviser experience.

About you:

Successful applicants will demonstrate strong customer service skills with the ability to organise workloads, prioritise and meet deadlines. You will be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word and will hold a minimum of 5 GCSE's A-C (including Maths and English).

You will deal directly with our clients and their financial advisers, so you will need to have strong communication skills to explain and clarify points clearly.

Candidates will ideally demonstrate the following attributes:

- Flexible and versatile with the ability to pick up new tasks quickly.
- Can work well both on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, at times unsupervised.
- Sound knowledge of all AJBG products and their features.
- Understanding of operational business processes.
