3rd Line Technical Support Analyst required to assist in the daily support of computer systems and procedures for a leading distribution company. Based in Cheshire, the Technical Support Analyst will report to the Systems Support Manager and should have extensive experience of maintaining head office IT Infrastructure.

Technical Support Analyst - skills & experience

- Extensive experience of Microsoft Active Directory, Print Services, Exchange, SQL, and network attached storage
- Proven experience of troubleshooting email delivery problems
- Capable of maintaining routers, firewalls & VPNs
- Experience of backup & restore technologies
- Knowledge of IT Security technologies & platforms
- Solid experience of operations support
- Enthusiastic 1st line call logging
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Desirable - experience of virtualisation technologies, IIS, Linux, software licensing compliance, configuration management, IOS / Android platforms and ITiL

Technical Support Analyst - responsibilities

- Answering and accurately record support calls over the telephone or in person from users of the Company's bespoke computer systems / procedure
- Monitor / chase outstanding problems, ensuring user is made aware of the progress of their call
- Guide users on system functionality
- Provide a technical point of escalation for colleagues
- Support users via mobile phone support between weekday hours of 8am - 9pm and from 5pm - 6pm on a shared basis
- Raise system requests and forward to the appropriate Project Manager
- Raise system and fault reports and forward to the project Office
- Advise on all matters affecting the technical configuration of the hardware operating systems and software in use across the company
- Monitor systems for security, availability and performance
- Manage all core and project based infrastructure
