Reports To : Technical Manager

Main Aim

To provide a technical support service to customers internally and externally.

Main duties/Responsibilities

Working for the Technical Department, the successful candidate will become the customer point of contact for order plan checking, having the ability to interpret and check in detail, kitchen drawings/plans to determine their accuracy and viability. The aim being to clearly communicate issues and advise customers on the best course of action to take to successfully complete their project.

Being a customer focused position, one of the key aims of this role is to resolve kitchen planning issues before orders are released, enabling a smooth ordering process for customers and reducing the need for remedial action to be taken.

Working with customers and using a recognised CAD drafting software, you will produce one-off special drawings working to the customer specifications provided then process these through our in-house system.

Displaying a first-class attitude to customer service along with a professional telephone manner, you will assist the customer base and the internal customer service teams by providing prompt technical support and competently communicating solutions to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience in reading/ planning kitchens and can competently use a recognised 2D/3D CAD drawing package. You will be computer literate, customer focused, organised with good communication and problem solving skills. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent time keeping and attendance record. Experience in a Technical role and/or a good understanding of kitchen manufacturing processes would be advantageous, but full training will be offered for the right candidate.

As you build your experience within the role, you will also be tasked with undertaking individual tasks/objectives set by your Departmental Manager, this may include covering other roles within the Technical Department.
