My client are a leading manufacture within the food & beverage industry and they currently require a HR Officer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of HR the post holder will provide first line HR support to an employee base of c. 400. The HR Officer will provide managers and employees alike with accurate and practical advice and guidance on a range of HR and Employment Law issues such as grievances, disciplinaries, sickness, absence, performance, recruitment, capability, statutory provision and Company policy. In addition to this you will be required to work through all existing policies and procedures on a project basis making amendments, creating new policies and creating supporting documents as needed.

The role will be overseeing:

* Accurately record advice provided on the Company's database and/or personnel files to ensure accurate records are maintained and all relevant documentation is sent and/or received, for future reference
* Use research and analytical skills to ensure personal knowledge of current and forthcoming employment law and HR best practice is kept up to date at all times via use of appropriate research methods and identifying and sourcing own training needs.
* Using knowledge on a broad range of Human Resources and Employment Law issues and current best practice to provide accurate, timely and professional advice to queries obtained either in person, via email or telephone.
* Conduct first line disciplinary and grievance investigation meetings and/or less complex disciplinary and grievance meetings.
* Provide support with the facilitation of training, including but not limited to sourcing and arranging course enrolment, gathering information to produce training agreements, maintaining records of training undertaken and assisting in training delivery.
* Assist with the administration of any organisational changes, departmental moves, restructuring, recruitment and/or redundancies,
* Undertake adhoc project work as per requirements of the department and for personal development, and general office duties such as the upkeep of personnel records, filing and maintaining the H.R central filing and archive system.
* Providing department information and leading HR processes as required, for example statistical information required or HR process control
* Manage the Occupational Health and Absence process

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified and ideally have at least 2 years of general employee relations experience within the HR function of a manufacturing business. Wer are looking for applicants with experience of high volume case loads in a very fast moving environment.
