Our client are a large specialist insurance company who are undergoing continual growth. They have an opportunity to join their Household Claims Division as a Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to control and ensure the effectiveness of the team which comprises of approximately 10 claims handlers. You must ensure the service levels and quality are adhered to and meet SLA's.

Previous line management experience is preferred along with a good technical claims knowledge. You must have experience of developing staff, working to deadlines and have strong planning and organisational skills. Effective communication skills are essential. You will be confident to work on your own initiative and have strong leadership skills. You must be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements and company policies.
* Control over cheque/payment requests and authorisation where appropriate
* Maintain services and operations to meet quality standards
* Monitoring and improving individual and team performances
* Training and development of staff
* Act as a technical referral point and deal with more complex issues
* Motivation of team to deliver the right attitude, behaviour and approach
* Collate work statistics and carry out quality checks
* Develop a range of initiatives and projects as required by management
* Ensure all members of the team are provided with regular and constructive feedback on their performance and behaviours.
* Act in accordance with the Company's values with both internal and external customers to facilitate continued and improved company reputation and success.
* Undertake other duties over and above those listed in the job description, appropriate to the individual's skills and experience.

Our client will carry out criminal record and financial checks including CCJs and bankruptcy.
