Our clientis a leading supplier to the DIY, hardware and professional sectors and is part of an international manufacturing group. Their brands stand for quality, value and service, a message reinforced at every level in the company.

This is a well-recognised brand with 27 years' heritage within the industry. As a group, they are continuously developing an extensive product range and an increasingly varied customer base.

The ideal candidate would be based from a home location, ideally situated across the M8 corridor. The geographical area would comprise of Scotland, Cumbria and Northumberland.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role will have the following responsibilities:

- Managing and truly develop a portfolio of existing accounts, consisting of both multiple and independent retailers, wholesalers, Architectural Ironmongers and other associated trade clients.
- Generating new business customers across the different trade channels.
- Take full ownership of a sales target from this geographical area. Be able to effectively communicate, problem solve and build customer relations to further growing business is essential.
- This position is full time; the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

- A CV demonstrating proven sales experience gained from working with a large product portfolio and being able to grow business across a broad range of customers, including independents and regional multiples.

- Ideally have exposure to product merchandising, improving sku visibility, brand prominence in-store and fully utilising POS material.

- Also, be able to secure new business development from effective area planning and prospecting.

The ideal candidate could already be selling to the broad DIY, Hardware, Tool distribution and Trade/Builder Merchants markets, with current and relevant experience. However, the company will consider candidates who have gained the required experience from within other industries.

Remuneration based on experience; comprising of basic salary + performance related bonus, £40k OTE (uncapped). + company car + company benefits
