Our services cover education, housing, substance misuse treatment and the prevention of reoffending.

Nacro are currently recruiting a Senior Practitioner to work within Recovery near You in Wolverhampton. The successful post holder will manage and deliver across a portfolio of cases. As the senior practitioner you will supervise the work and practise of practitioners and support workers.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prioritise activities and workloads and monitoring service delivery
- Provide guidance and training together with clinical supervision as and when appropriate.
- Formal line management of practitioners and support workers resides with the service manager (unless delegated responsibility is given in special circumstances).
- Maintain service delivery jointly with our partner agencies in areas such as MARAC, criminal justice and shared care.
- Deliver brief and extended substance misuse interventions.
- Provide education, training and consultancy to agencies, professionals and groups on the impact of substance misuse individuals, families and communities.
- Actively promote recovery near you services throughout the range of statutory and voluntary organisations and establish and maintain effective strategic and operational partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working with individual in addictions or social care setting with adults/young people.
- Knowledge of alcohol/drugs and health related issues
- Knowledge and understanding of functional model of alcohol/drug use.
- Experience of delivering training.
- Experience of working with health professionals.
- Understanding and commitment to the principle of confidentiality.
- Knowledge and commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discretion practice.
- Good IT skills

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
