Fire Alarm Service Engineer:

Groomfield Recruitment are currently recruiting a number of Fire Alarm Service Engineers to join one of our distinguished clients in based in Coventry. The successful candidates will ideally have a background in Fire Alarm Service and Repair, with a drive and desire to learn and progress within a forward thinking company.


- To install / commission and service customers' fire alarm systems and associated equipment in line with the current regulations, liaising with the service/engineering department to ensure best practice and the most cost effective solution.
- To support other engineers to ensure that they are competent to complete the work allocated to them and follow all Company and Health and Safety practices and procedures. To work as a team with colleagues and the Works/Projects Manager or Contacts and Service Manager to build on the company's reputation in quality and customer service.
- To provide first-class service to customers in the maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and handover/training of fire alarm, emergency lighting, patient call and associated systems and equipment.
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status, particularly system defects that affect its correct function.
- Provide technical support and guidance to allocated Engineers.
- To ensure timely reports are submitted and others affected by your work are kept in the picture at all times.
- To conduct yourself as though you were a Company owner; to be obedient and loyal at all times.
- To maintain 100% integrity and state the truth at all times irrespective of the predicament or possible consequences
- To operate in an efficient and organised manner and adhere to Health and Safety obligations.
- To recognise that the equipment you are handling is installed for the protection of life with serious implications if it fails or is inoperable
- To use every opportunity to promote the company and maximise financial return from your activities.
- To care for assets belonging to the Company as though they were your own.
- To be a strong team player. To show consistent respect for others; listen first and speak second; receive criticism without reacting defensively; share information, knowledge and experience with other team members; to work hard and do your fair share to meet commitments.
- To be reliable and keep positive.


Tools: Specialist tools, access equipment and power tools will be provided.

Uniform: Work wear, safety shoes and Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.

Vehicle: A company vehicle appropriate to the role will be provided.

Training: The Company fully supports on-going learning in the work environment.
