Job Title: Marketing Executive

Salary details: £27,000 basic salary plus a bonus of up to £2000

Location: Old Street, London

Wilmington plc are lookinjg for a new Marketing Executive to join our team at ARK.

Books: 25 print titles published per year, covering a range of legal and management issues

Magazines: Solicitors Journal, Trade & Forfaiting Review

Events: Annual Solicitors Journal Awards

Main Purpose of Role:

To ensure all relevant marketing activity as defined below results in revenue and other targets being achieved for all products within the portfolio. To include email marketing, social media, partnerships, print, and all relevant activities to maximise revenue and promote products to our target client base. Products to include reports, digital and print subscriptions, websites and events.


- Develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing plans in line with the sales strategy, to increase magazine subscription levels and renewal rates
- Liaise with Editors and the Awards Producer to generate high quality marketing copy that promotes our books, subscription and awards event to best effect
- Liaise with the internal design team and external designers to produce relevant marketing collateral
- Maintain and update website content to promote all products in the portfolio to best effect
- Update and review the marketing plan to ensure activity is carried out on time and response rates are monitored
- Undertake market research projects such as surveys where necessary to feed into marketing strategy and product development
- Report to the Subscriptions & Books Manager and other relevant stakeholders on marketing activity, costs and response rates


- Educated to degree level
- At least two years' marketing experience
- Strong digital skill set to include digital marketing (particularly email marketing and social media) and database analytics
- Excellent copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of the legal market an advantage but not essential
- Analytical and target driven, with ability to analyse KPIs and test results, interpret, propose change and implement
- Quick and keen to learn and develop personal skillsets further
- Motivated, with a can-do, positive attitude
- Some experience of working in a publishing or events environment desirable but not essential
