A FANTASTIC opportunity has arisen to work for one of UK's largest Transport and Distribution companies.

My client is looking for someone with CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE from within the UK Haulage, Pallet Distribution, Freight or Logistics environment who can SUPPORT the OPERATIONS TEAM.

Salary: £16,000-£18,000

Contract Type: Full Time (Permanent)

Shift Pattern:

Week 1 - Tues-Sat 06:00-14:00

Week 2 - Tues-Sat 14:00-22:00

Week 3 - Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00

Week 4 - Mon-Fri 14:00-22:00

Week 5 - Sun-Thu 06:00-14:00

Week 6 - Sun-Thu 14:00-22:00

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

- Process invoices, POD's, etc. in a timely and accurate manner with very high care and attention to detail, adhering to proper process at all times
- Complete trackers with accurate collection and delivery times, assign reason codes, provide commentary on issues and keep customers and colleagues informed at all times
- Respond to and resolve queries from customers, colleagues and hauliers, utilising problem solving skills
- Identify and implement - via the Customer Services Controller - improvements to process
- As required, train other colleagues to assist with the duties of CSD Admin Coordinator
- Ensure any work not completed is handed over to colleagues to be completed
- Compile and format reports and statistics as required by the Customer Services Controller

Key skills and experience in this role will include:
* Good understanding of UK&I divisional structure
* Working knowledge of CFX and all Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
* Good understanding of general business principles around processing invoices, credit notes, finance, claims, etc.
* Understanding of current UK haulage market and practices
* Previous experience in a transport operational or clerical environment
* Excellent Verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone manner
