OUR CLIENT is a member of one the leading Networks in the distribution of Palletised Freight throughout the UK from the STAFFORDSHIRE territory incorporating all the ST postcodes and CW 1 and 2. Due to expansion they are now looking for a dynamic, well presented, IT Literate Field Sales Executive

Your role will be to 100% new business with the remit of building a pipeline of UK Pallet Distribution business, through cold calling, telephone calls and field sales visits to gain new business within the depots commercial strategy.

Developing new business in the ST and CW 1 and 2 postcode areas, aiming at varying sized accounts. There will be an element of key account management of the portfolio of customers as well although this role is predominantly NEW BUSINESS.

Targeted on attending 20 sales appointments a week and to grow the depots trading base on a weekly basis through the gaining of varying sized accounts.

In order to apply for this role you must have a NEW BUSINESS sales background gained ideally in the PALLETS, PARCELS, FREIGHT, LOGISTICS or related industry, so you have an understanding of Freight dimensions, weights etc.

You will be able to prove and demonstrate your new business success. We are looking for a new business hunter; you will be enthusiastic and determined to succeed in a very successful business.

Key Job Activities -

* Maintain and develop good relationships with prospective and existing customers through personal contact or via telephone etc
* Display efficiency in gathering market, prospect and customer info to enable accurate records to be maintained within Gold Vision / Excel.
* Actively pursue and open new business opportunities to ensure a healthy Sales Pipeline is kept at all times
* Conduct annual rate reviews and ensure margins are fully understood and profitable on all accounts
* To be an ambassador for our Pallet client both internally and externally communicating and promoting the vision and direction of the company with passion
* Meet and aim to exceed financial Sales Targets as set and agreed
* Prepare and present weekly Sales reports as required

Skills Knowledge and Qualities

* Minimum 5 GCSE's passes including Mathematics and English
* Demonstrable Sales record ideally in the Pallet, Parcel or Freight Industry
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentational)
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Able to work well on own initiative
* Able to manage workload and prioritise accordingly to meet deadlines

* Attention to detail - completer finisher
* Sales Experience in the logistics sector
* Strong Networker
* Ability to prioritise
* Key personal qualities: quick to learn, outgoing, innovative and creative
* Strong team player
* IT literacy: Excel, Word and PowerPoint, email.
* Experience or knowledge gained in a similar environment is essential for successful performance of this role
