Office Team are recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a well-established Manufacturing firm based in Wakefield. The opportunity on offer is a 12 month contract , immediate interviews and start date available .


- Responsible for maintaining stock levels in remote warehouse
- Ensuring that stock is available to satisfy sales demand
- Responsible for instructing the Stainless & Copper facility to manufacture to sales
- Assisting with maintaining the Company quality and health and safety system
- To manage stock levels in remote warehouse and instructing production facility to manufacture for stock replenishment
- Monitoring stock availability to ensure that ex-stock items are available for sale Managing WIP
- Analysing changes in demand and adjusting stock holding accordingly
- Generating production paperwork for demand in factory
- Ensuring stock accuracy procedures are adhered to by reflecting actual usage in production is reflected on ERP system
- To be actively involved with Procurement to ensure that stock shortages are dealt with in a timely manner
- Progress works orders through factory to ensure they meet delivery dates
- Liaise with Production Supervisors on a daily basis regarding sales/stock requirement needs
- Work closely with Customer Service so any issues/delays may be communicated back to the customer
- Assisting and maintaining the Company Quality and Health & Safety system and keeping them current with legislation
- Assisting with the responsibility for GMP (Good Manufacturing Products) standards
- Assisting with Investigations of Root Cause Analysis through effective corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence for customer and internal quality issues
- Assisting the establishment of Inspection Standards, Plans, Frequencies and Test Methods where possible
- Working in close relation with the Technical Department to establish and maintain FMEAso Assisting in the preparation and updating procedures such as QPs, SOPs and Production and Quality Alertso Assisting in preparation for the BSI audits
- Assisting the Internal Audit team and carry out Supplier Quality Audits
- If possible have experience with ISO 14001o Maintaining H&S Risk Assessments keeping them up to date with current legislation
- Keeping records of all accidents on site and striving to reduce accidents on all 3 sites


- Experience of working in a production planning role
- Experience of working in Quality and Health and Safety
- Good IT skills with knowledge of Sage Line 500 and Microsoft Office
- Strong relationship management, communication and negotiation skills
- To be able to work as a team member within wider Operations team and wider sales office team in Wakefield

Salary & Benefits:

£22,000, plus free car paring and additional benefits
