A well established IT Support services organisation in Bedfordshire is actively seeking Logistics Manager to provide leadership, support and take ownership of the Logistics team within Business Services; to coach and develop team members; to maintain effective support across the business in the provision of all services; to maintain technical and operational consistency and advancements to support growth across offerings; to implement the strategy for the functional team in line with business objectives.

Leadership Duties

- Proven experience in managing a busy logistics/warehouse function with a team of up to 10 members of staff whilst raising skills and capability levels. Lead, coach and support team members within the function.
- Effectively manage team members from entry to exit.
- Maintain and conduct effective quarterly and annual performance reviews with team members in line with the HR strategy.
- To develop individuals to achieve the required accreditations and standards.
- Identify, monitor and maintain resources required within the Logistics team.
- Own, monitor and manage tasks (requests, incidents, changes, problems and project related work) and ensure they are appropriately owned and communicated to customer.
- Manage, monitor and review the systems, processes and tools required within the function to enable an efficient and consistent service in conjunction with other leads within the Business
- Maintain good practice within the function and lead improvements within the function in terms of services, systems, processes and tools.
- To act as the escalation point for Logistics related enquiries and co-ordinate resolution and communication.
- To ensure excellent customer service is demonstrated and embedded within the team.
- To liaise and co-operate with other leads within the business in achieving the organisational goals.
