Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Responsible to: Operations Director

Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Call out every other week (nights) and weekend

Job Purpose: To provide swift and accurate servicing and maintenance of all Print and Bindery production related equipment

Key Accountabilities

* Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting electrical, electronic and mechanical problems on machines
* Drive a pro-active maintenance and repair approach
* Ensure that adequate and appropriate spare parts are readily available

Person Specification

* Must have recognised Industrial Electrical qualification up to IEE 17th Edition if possible
* Have experience of working as a multi-skilled maintenance electrician with the ability to carry out mechanical repairs preferable in the printing industry although this is not essential
* Be able to read and fault find from electrical and electronic schematic drawings
* Have some experience of working with a mechanical maintenance schedule
* Good verbal communication and the ability to communicate complex technical information to Managers, suppliers and OEMs
* Needs to be self-motivated and ability to apply initiative when tackling repairs and maintenance
* Working Knowledge of PLC controls, primarily Siemens, and Inverter AC Drives
* Computer literate with some knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware
