My client is part of an international group and one of the largest food manufacturers in Europe. They have been present in the UK for over a decade and sell a range of French bakery products to major UK food retailers, wholesale and food service markets. The company is still family run and has a great culture and history. They also present in Europe, South Korea and USA.

They have a 160,000 sq.ft. technologically advanced production facility to service the UK market in order to continue the strong growth of the company.

This is a great opportunity to join a category leading brand and an exciting stage in the history of the business. Due to the fast expansion of the business, we are looking for professionals to join our team to fulfill and grow into their roles / careers.

We are currently looking to add a person to our existing team based in Milton Keynes.

Main tasks:
o Train the production/ machine operators and evaluate their level of integration concerning quality, hygiene and process
o To assure quality, regularity and safety of the products produced on their line(s), taking into account the environment, production constraints, standards and legislation.
o Analysing indicators and alerting in case of deviation as well as proposing and leading action plans.
o Keeping paperwork up to date
o To ensure wastes are disposed in a safe manner as per the Company's policy
o Effectively use the IT tools available, where necessary
o Cover colleagues during breaks/ absence
o Ensure the compliance with the standards defined by the technical department on matters such as Raw Materials, Process and Hygiene
o To assess agency workers skills on the line
o Maintain company confidentiality
o Follow the company rules and procedures on food safety as well as health and safety
o Understand risks of contamination of the product and prevent their occurrence
o To carry out other duties as is within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your Line Manager

To be successful you need:
Experience in manufacturing environment
Food science degree or equivalent
Excellent communication, attitude and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation internally and externally
Methodical worker that is able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
Desire to learn new skills and continue personal development
Good attention to details
PC literate

The hours for this role are 40hrs a week. Salary for this role is competitive based on experience and skills.
