Job Title: Trainee Facilities Support
Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000

Our client, who are a market leader in the supply of electronic equipment, now require a Junior Facilities Support to provide assistance to the Facilities Manager at their site in Towcester, Northamptonshire.

As the Facilities Support, you will be required to:

•Assist in minor installation works and repairs to building fabric to include plumbing, carpentry, decorating, metal work, mechanical fitting and minor electrical works.
•Support planned and reactive maintenance with site engineers.
•Ensure that all required systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the relevant standards.
•Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
•Work with EHS and facilities engineering to ensure third party contractors comply with site rules.
•Partake in chemical and environmental inspections.
•Maintaining a variety of records associated with the company's assets.
•Understanding fire safety regulations, Health and Safety regulations, emergency procedures and the rules of evacuation.
•Provide general housekeeping and maintenance services for all common areas including service yards.
•Maintain site vehicles to the required standards.
•Other general facilities duties as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and requirements, however full training will be provided:-

•Knowledge of facilities equipment and relevant health and safety standards would be preferred but is not essential as training will be given.
•Good time and attendance record.
•Physically capable of moving various types of equipment.
•Self-reliant and responsible.
•Awareness of general site services requirements.
•Basic computer literacy.
•Awareness of compliance requirements to safety and environmental legislations.
•Full, clean UK driving license.

This role will eventually require the successful applicant to work on a Call Out Rosta so ideally the applicant will live no more than 5 miles from Towcester, Northamptonshire.
