An innovative, high technology company is currently seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Assistant due to continued growth and organisational development. The main responsibility of this role is to develop the company's procurement and supply chain database and ERP system and manage all current suppliers.

Commutable from: Reading, Hertford, Guildford, London,

Salary: £ 26,000 - £30 ,000 p.a. + Benefits

The Role

The ideal candidate requires experience in administration and/or procurement. The candidate will support the Project Manager & Procurement. You will be responsible for:

Maintenance of Dearman Logistics' Procurement system and master item lists, BOM, BOQ.
Providing Ongoing Procurement support to your line manager.
Managing the ordering and shipping of supplies, ensuring deliveries are made on time and working with Operations to ensure receipt of goods in our ERP.
Managing the relationship with our internal customers and suppliers
Working with your line manager and other Specialists teams to support the launch of new products. Maintains records and follow up files of purchases, shipments, and related matters.

The Person

You will need to have the following experience to be considered:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of dealing with both internal and external customers/suppliers at all levels.
Demonstrates patience and perseverance during setbacks and challenges.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Ability to multi-task, work and complete tasks effectively under minimal supervision, tight time constraints, and periodic high volume circumstances.
Computer literate with experience of Microsoft packages (including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
Fluent/business proficient in English.
