Role Description-

The role is principally outward facing as it ensures the smooth flow of information between their customers and the company and they must maintain our existing customer base while expanding into new markets and companies on a worldwide basis. To do this they will require a good understanding of the Markets/OEM’s/Future Product Developments and likely changes in the political environment. They will preferably have a strong background in one of the following sales areas Military, Mining or Commercial and it would be beneficial if they had a technical background and languages would be an advantage. Travel will be an integral part of the position.

The role as defined gives a brief outline of the functions to be undertaken but given the size of the company, flexibility is an important factor and the ability to cover for others is very important. The role therefore includes but is not exclusively:-

Principal Activities

Sales and Marketing of its products

Key Account Management – all aspects

Technical Account Support

Specialist in one or more Key Market for their products.

Developing Markets and Customers to grow the business

Sales Activities

Company Interface with Customers using all media and visits

Key Account Management

C2C Technical/ Commercial Meetings

Understanding Markets Geographically, Customer and Product Based

Developing and Implementing Sales Targets/Forecasts

Developing and Implementing Sales Strategy

Leading Sales Development in Existing and New Markets

Tenders/Quotes Response to Customers

Contract Control- Terms and Conditions etc.

Export Licence Control

Ensuring all Sales and Commercial data supports the Financial and Commercial requirements of the Company

Sales Interface with US


Selecting and Organising Exhibitions/Adverts and web outlets

Presenting and Attending Seminars/Conferences

Developing Artwork for all promotions


Section Budget Creation and Control

Secondary Activities

Export Licensing/OGELs etc. Support/Training

CRM Records Sales Administration

Shipping Support as and when required

Constantly Improving Sale/Commercial practices

Common Activities

Phones/Fax/Copying/Filing /CRM all normal office activities

In addition you may be required to undertake other reasonable duties which fall within your capabilities on an as and when required basis.
