Quality Manager (Designate) sought by hugely successful electro mechanical manufacturing business which designs and manufactures equipment for the scientific and research sectors . You must be a Qualified Engineer with a broad understanding and experience of electro mechanical products and how they are put together.

The Quality Manager (Designate) will interact very closely with Product Development Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers as well as with colleagues in Supply Chain and Production.

The Senior Quality Engineer will maintain and continuously improve the facility’s ISO9001 and Product certification approval – this will include metric data collection and review, successful preventative and corrective action implementation and internal audit scheduling.

Very much a team player, the Senior Quality Engineer will support the Manufacturing, Product Development, Materials Management and Customer Service functions with respect to using best practice Quality Control systems and procedures to achieve Continuous Improvement:

- Working closely with Production to monitor defect levels at all critical stages of the manufacturing process from materials goods in through to product dispatch. You will record and analyse trends, and provide feedback so that defect levels can be reduced and Quality improved. You will also work closely with the Production Engineers to ensure that adequate documents, procedures, tooling, jigs, etc and training are in place to facilitate production of consistently good quality products.

- Working with Product Development Engineers to ensure technical documentation generation, maintenance and change are rigorously controlled and that development work conforms to agreed procedures at all stages.

- Working with Materials Management and Suppliers to ensure that consistently good Quality materials are received and that robust procedures are in place to deal with reject materials, rework procedures and related stock control. You will approve suppliers and monitor supplier activities.

- Working closely with Group Quality Management and the Sales/Service teams review and resolve prioritised Customer Service issues.

Engineering Degree (or equivalent) Qualified you should have acquired several years’ experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing business and worked as part of a multi-disciplined product development team.
