Process Engineer

Due to their continued growth, an international manufacturer is looking to strengthen its existing team by bringing in an additional Process Engineer. The successful Engineer will receive a salary of £30,000 to £35,000, with an extensive training and development programme, including a KUKA robotic training cell, DIS and free onsite parking.

The successful Process Engineer will possess sound knowledge of within an automotive environment, and be familiar with set-up and operation of blow moulding, water cooling, cutting and welding machines within sampling and serial production, along with either team leader and or management experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Set-up and operation of blow moulding, water cooling, cutting and welding machines within sampling and serial production
* Retooling of moulds, water cooling jigs, cutting and welding machines
* Optimization of machine set-ups, to fulfill quality standards
* Support waste material reduction
* Development of assigned team members/team leaders to ensure production, retooling and adjustment of machines
* Investigate and find route of cause of disruptions
* Support repairs of machines, tools and spare parts
* Work to quality requirements according to the control plan
* Ensure compliance of EHS guidelines and procedures
* Detect safety gaps and report near misses and accidents
* Participate in continuous improvement activities
* Support the production flow through quality assurance after optimization of production machines
* Documentation of all minor and major changes on ATR, PCR, EAM, shift checks and job cards
* Adhere to change point management
* Support the facility with a reasonable amount of weekend support as and when required

Qualifications / Experience:

* Apprenticeship as process mechanic or comparable education
* Plastics industry knowledge
* Experience in optimizing blow moulding products
* Basic robot programming on ABB and or KUKA
* Knowledge about energy sources (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
* Knowledge of relevant quality control schemes
* Knowledge of different measuring techniques (calipers, gauges)
* Knowledge of EHS guidelines
* Good PC knowledge
* Previous Engineer experience
