Medium sized company in Liverpool need a Civil Engineering Technician to deliver, supervise, prepare technical design drawings, input in meetings and technical reports to deliver innovative civil engineering solutions to major civil development and waste management schemes in the UK and Overseas.
You must be able to -
Carrying out feasibility and pre-planning assessments of engineering infrastructure
Inputting to key project control documentation such as cost plan and programmes
Managing the delivery of individual tasks or activities to programme and budget
Liaising with Clients, regulators/other project stakeholders and other in-house skill groups

Undertaking investigations and outline design for a variety of improvement works /Carrying out site inspections and surveys / Supervising construction works on site
Preparation of engineering drawings including slab/paving design, structural design, drainage design and site general arrangements.

Working with engineers to translate outline engineering proposals to detailed design drawings, understanding the relationship between the project disciplines.
Preparing engineering reports in support of planning applications, site appraisals and submissions to statutory authorities.

Preparing risk assessments in relation to project works.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate that they are a quick learner, with proven initiative to work within a team; be a good communicator, be organised. Have relevant industry experience, with direct emphasis on civil engineering or other related construction/environmental activity; be able to work as part of a team and be commercially aware, and have a personal commitment to work to tight deadlines while under pressure

Candidates applying should possess a relevant engineering qualification (e.g HNC) or equivalent. It is essential to have a comprehensive knowledge of Autocad & Civils 3D and preferably Microdrainage/Windes.

You need to show a good understanding of Infrastructure (roads and drainage) design, FRA Flood Risk reports and Site investigations/services

Candidates with knowledge of Ground Engineering, Residential Development and EIA is desirable

A full driving license and access to a vehicle is required.
