This World Class 1st Tier Automotive Manufacturer are recruiting NOW for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team at Cannock, responsible for liaising with the customer, analysing quality data, and driving continuous improvements then through the plant and team.  You will come from an Automotive Quality background, ideally plant operational quality improvements, with excellent customer facing skills.  In return they offer a competitive salary, pension, 25 days holiday + stats etc.

As Quality Engineer, you will:-  
Liaise with the customer on quality matters.
Set and communicate quality requirements, standards and controls to assure quality of product and process to the Business Unit.
Analyse and communicate the effectiveness of the system for quality by BU and customer including conformance to quality requirements for product and process.
Guide and support engineers and support functions (MQT's, QA, LAB, CMM)  
Provide Quality Engineering support for the Business Unit in problem resolution.  
Train and advise the Business Unit on quality matters, procedures and techniques.
Lead and support continuous improvement and defect prevention activities.
Audit the management system to ISO TS 16949
Support in the development and cascade of TS16949 within the plant  to all functions
The Suitable Candidate:-

Experienced Quality Engineer, ideally from an Automotive Industry background
Experience in Quality systems (ISO TS16949, VDA 6.1, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
Concern Resolution (8D/QPR/PPS/Fault Tree analysis)
Customer Facing skills and knowledge in particular of customer requirements including JLR, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, BMW is desirable
Experience in FMEA, Control plans, PSW, APQP, SPC, and MSA (measurement systems analysis)
A working knowledge of CMM, Laboratory testing (Weld Marcos), Mig, Projection, and Spot welding would be desirable
ISO TS 16949 internal auditor or lead auditor trained is an advantage
Degree qualified or equivalent, in Engineering or Manufacturing
