8am – 5pm Monday to Friday

BTFS is a big player in the facilities management market. We're a subsidiary of the BT Group of companies and operate an all-encompassing building support service across BT's vast UK estate. We have an exciting opportunity for an Air Conditioning Engineer to support the Facilities Service Manager by providing a reactive and pre-planned maintenance service to building engineering systems and services all over Birmingham. Main duties will include…
•Maintain all Air conditioning equipment and assist with all other PPM routines on site
•Diagnose faults on equipment and repair as necessary using manufacturers manuals and drawings as required
•Liaise with the Facilities Service Manager and Workflow Helpdesk for both demand and planned maintenance tasks and respond to other requests as necessary
•Undertake risk assessments for reactive and pre-planned maintenance to ensure safe working practice
•Report any mechanical/electrical problems affecting the day-to-day operations to the Technical Supervisor
•Ensure Site Activity Log Books are completed in a timely and accurate manner and are maintained in accordance with procedures
•Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports as required for the Manager
•Maintain stock levels and records as required
•Participate in an Emergency Call Out Service as required in accordance with the Out of Hours Rota
•Other relevant duties consistent with the general requirements of BTFS technical services delivery as directed by line management
•Follow BTFS procedures and routines correctly to make sure that their work is in line with the environmental policy and support the business in achieving its environmental objectives.

Essential qualifications:
•Must have completed an apprenticeship or an equivalent formal training programme in air conditioning and refrigeration installation and maintenance that includes sufficient relevant practical experience and theoretical knowledge to enable assessment as competent.
•Must hold a City & Guilds 2079 Level 2 Award in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category 1 or equivalent.
•Full UK Driving License (van provided)
