Location: South of UK

Salary: £30,000 to £34,000

An opportunity has become available for a competent Electrical Installation Engineer / Manager to operate within the south of the UK. The successful candidate will join a fast moving and ever expanding market leader.


To manage and conduct daily communication with both customers and Maintenance Engineers. The right candidate should be accommodating, self-motivated, and capable of managing customer needs to both budget and deadline.

Applications from ex-military personnel i.e. Navy, Royal Air Force (RAF) or Army are strongly encouraged.

Main Duties:

* Guarantee all customer orders are inserted daily and processes followed to allow timely planning.
* Supervise the engineering team and associated vehicles.
* Conduct random checks of Engineers work and operation on site.
* Update customer timetables and ensures prearranged dates are achieved.
* Report writing and furnish each customer with a report as agreed.
* Timely completion and issue of testing certificates to ensure customers are compliant.
* Daily invoicing should be conducted and these figures should be reported to the Operations Manager.
* Check all allocated work is matched with job sheets on a weekly basis – chase up missing worksheets.
* Ensure the electronic system reflects accurately the status of each loaded order.
* Administer component and product stock levels

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:


* Clean Driver’s License

* Must hold City & Guilds 2351 OR 2330 OR 2360 Part 1 & 2

* OR NVQ Level3 in Electro-Technical Services
* AND must hold 17th edition 2391
* Management experience
* NICEIC compliance


* Experience of retail sites dealing with Electrical / Lighting /LED installation
* Experience of lighting components / wholesale supply would be useful
* Energy cost awareness and the ability to recognise savings opportunities

Salary ranges between £30,000 and £34,000 and can be boosted by regular overtime opportunities.


The Lead Engineer will work 40-hour weeks and work 8.5 hours a day with 30 minutes for lunchtime which is unpaid.
