Based in Hereford

NPI Manager / Engineering Development Manager / New Product Development Manager / Design Manager required for exciting opportunity with my client who are a leading design and manufacturer of plastic products for the construction industry.

Working within a global group the Hereford site has full autonomy over its NPD strategy, the company are over 50 years old and are recognised globally as market leaders in their chosen fields.

As you will be responsible for leading a small team of design engineers, project engineers and lab engineers and will be responsible for all engineering aspects of product design, technical documentation, new product development, production implementation and sustaining engineering.
This is an exciting time to be joining the company as there will be continued product launches for new innovative products that you will be responsible for.

Working closely with Operations and Manufacturing to optimise design for manufacture you will have a collaborative style. 

As Engineering & NPI Manager you will ensure all products are commercially viable, efficient to manufacture and meet the quality and business expectations by adhering to traceable product requirements, following disciplined engineering methodologies such as design reviews, design and process FMEAs, tolerance studies, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis, mold flow calculations, material selection and analysis, manufacturing pilot builds, field trial studies and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).

As Engineering & NPI Manager you will be experienced in the full Product Development Lifecycle - involvement from “cradle to grave” from product inception/project definition, through Design, Development Testing and Validation to Tooling Manufacture, Product Qualification, introduction to Manufacture, Market & Sales Launch and beyond.

Experience in Plastics / Injection Moulding is essential.
