Process Assurance Engineer

Work closely in engineering activities as they relate to Process Assurance aspects of Certification requirements documents such as DO-254, ARP 4754A, and within the business to meet and maintain company quality approvals.

Work closely with projects teams and all levels of internal and external customers
including approval authorities.

The key responsibilities are as defined below:
• Main interface in relation to meeting independent Systems and Hardware Process Assurance (Sys&HW PA) requirements as defined by Certification requirements such as RTCA DO-254 and SAE ARP4754A.
• Satisfying the independent Systems and Hardware Process Assurance requirements of the projects (as defined by Project Eq&HW Management Plans) and customers in relation to deliverables, reviews, meetings, and on-hand support
• Supporting projects in relation to general Sys&HW PA activities – both performing the activities and coordination of additional Sys&HW PA resource (which might be also required from time to time)
• Coordination and documenting of Project Sys&HW PA meetings and ensuring tracking and completion of associated activities Supporting the relevant Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
• To plan, manage and carryout an audit schedule for Sys&HW PA and compliance checks in relation to design life cycles, approval compliance, Process and sub-contractor activities
• Regular attendance at audits across all of our sites as required
• Support in project Configuration Management activities and generation of supporting documentation
• Establishing and supporting in the delivery of a standard approach to Sys&HW PA for Ultra Controls to continue to meet requirements
• Support in Quality initiatives and improvements
• Ensure adequate and appropriate Quality records are maintained by the Project Teams and Process Leads
• Support for the QA team at all sites as required
• Assist with the maintenance of company approvals e.g. EASA, FAR, ISO, etc. to maintain airworthiness
• Be prepared to travel to support current and future products on customers sites around the world
• Identify and generate process control systems and measures
• To ensure the departmental objectives are achieved in line with the job holders individual objectives
• Assist in Performing duties in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes
• There may be additional activities to perform from time to time in order to maximise the contribution to our goals and objectives

• Worked in a Safety Critical systems design environment
• Worked within Certification requirements such as DO-254/ARP4754 Environment and has had exposure to Process assurance aspects
• Experience in carrying out Conformity and Process Reviews
• Good communication skills demonstrated both verbally and in writing in the form of presentations and recommendations for improvement
• Demonstrated experience in building good working relationships and gaining trust and respect with internal and external customers
• An enthusiastic participant with other skill groups within projects
• Self driven and able to monitor own performance effectively to ensure deadlines are met
• Works effectively with others at all levels of the business
• Proactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectives and meet commitments
• Use own initiative within the scope of the role

Has worked in an Aerospace Organisation
• Experience in Aerospace standards (e.g. EASA Part 21, AS9100, TickIT, etc)
• Experience/ Involvement in System or HW development/testing
• Experience on Certification requirements (such as to DO-254 Level A Projects)
• Familiarity with Electronic systems
