A family owned manufacturing company, that supplies specialist laboratory equipment, is seeking a Technical Support Advisor. Established nearly fifty years ago, the company started off manufacturing bespoke glassware and evolved to design and manufacture scientific instruments for blue chip companies and research facilities around the world.

As the Technical Support Advisor you will be a crucial part of the customer service team, delivering support to their UK and international customers. You will have excellent telephone manner and PC skills as your primary methods of communication will be by phone and email.

As well as technical support, as the Technical Support Advisor you will provide pre-sales specifications and quotations, assist with installation and set-up issues and help with diagnosing faults. Because of this, a scientific background is essential for this role.

Technical Support Advisor Requirements:

- Scientific background essential e.g. degree in chemistry or sufficient laboratory experience
- Proficient with MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Proven experience in a customer focused role
