Quality Engineer
We are market leading electronics company who are looking for a Quality Engineer from a manufacturing background, with working knowledge of J-STD-001 / IPC-610 Standards. The successful candidate will need to have client facing experience and will be exposed to a number of different sectors including rail, automotive, telecoms, medical, defence, oil and gas.

This multi-functional role is encompassing a broad depth of Quality Assurance skills working for an electronic solutions provider within the high specification tele-communications industry. You will be responsible for both project based QA and maintaining the Quality Management System to accreditor's requirements. Further requirements include inspecting product to IPC610 standards and supplier assurance

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer
Provide the expertise to identify, promote and implement improvement initiatives
Lead the investigation of Non-Conformances to their resolution.
Proactively support the business throughout the whole project lifecycle to ensure all requirements are satisfied in accordance with the contract.
Participate or chair assurance gate reviews e.g. Manufacturing Readiness, Test Readiness & Delivery Review etc
Manage, conduct, report and communicate on all assurance activities across the company to actively support risk management / mitigation, compliance to requirements / processes and improvement.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions are in place and managed where issues occur.
Represent the company indirect material supply assurance at all appropriate reviews and meetings on-site or at supplier's premises.
Administration of Quality Management Systems
ISO9001 & 14001 Auditing skills

Qualifications/Experience of the Quality Engineer
Educated to a reasonable level GCSE (including English and Maths)
Educated to A Level standard
HND in a related subject or qualified by experience
IPC 610 Accredited.
Good knowledge of Microsoft office to include; excel, word, access and outlook
Previous industry knowledge & skills
Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and schematics
FAI Inspection skills to IPC standards
Ability to interact with and manage suppliers to gain on time, on quality deliveries
Experience within a similar role or electrical/electronics manufacturing environment.
Experience working to IPC 610/620.
Experience in working to MOD/Aerospace standards
