Our client are an industry leading utility company in the south of England. They are looking for ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Technicians to undertake reactive maintenance on water treatment works. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified ICA technicians to join their team within a permanent position.

The job
The role involves:

-Installation, maintenance, modification and repair of SCADA systems on water treatment sites.
-Similar works on associated ICA (instrumentation, control and automation) equipment, often with minimum supervision.
-To install, modify, test and repair HV electrical plant and equipment.


-To carry out planned and preventative breakdown maintenance
-To install and modify both ICA, CHP or HV electrical plant and equipment.
-Liaising and supervising of contractors and suppliers where necessary.
-Providing specialist technical advice where appropriate with up to date technical knowledge, and to provide training support for technical trainees.
-To be responsible for the timely ordering of spares required.
-Take responsibility for own health and safety and that of colleagues.

Are you the ideal candidate?
You should have:

-An approved apprenticeship (desirable) and ideally be qualified to C&G Part 2 or HNC level, in an electrical discipline and with a good practical understanding of operational plant and systems.
-Ability to work with minimum supervision, under own initiative to design and standards.
-Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry.
-Valid Driving licence

What you'll get

-You will receive an annual salary of £31,000-£40,000 per year. On top of this you will be applicable for yearly pay increases, company vehicle and additional benefits.
-There may be a call out Rota involved allowing for additional overtime and rate premiums for normal and out of hours' work. You also receive a standby premium for each week you are on call.
-Progression and movement within the company is also available.
