We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a growing consultancy in Oxfordshire.

Our Client is a large multi-disciplinary consultancy whose primary business is the provision of Civil and Structural engineering consultancy services, supplemented through specialist Divisions, including Planning and Development, Geotechnical and Environmental, Traffic and Transportation.

Transport Planning forms an integral part of the firm?s interdisciplinary offering as they committed to maximising the value of sites through the provision of expert and timely advice at all stages of a project from inception to the submission of a planning application and subsequent implementation.

The role will require Transport Planner who is keen to develop their existing skill set and experience across a broad range of projects for public and private sector clients, and play a strong part in the growth of the department and development of others.

Applicants must have transport planning experience with a good technical knowledge of highway design. Knowledge of relevant planning guidance and legislation is essential.

Candidates will be able to work proactively and respond to enquiries from feasibility through to delivery. The ability to communicate in a professional manner is a key part of the role.

Your responsibilities will be varied, including the writing of high quality reports and analysis work. The ability to manage work load and timescales is essential and some project management experience would be desirable.

Core Role Requirements:

* Preparation of transport assessments and travel plans for a wide range of developments
* Provision of advice to internal and external clients
* Project and financial management of small to medium projects
* Development of project opportunities
Qualifications / Experience:

* Degree or HND in Planning, Engineering or related subject.
* MSC in Transport Planning desirable
* Working towards professional status; e.g. TPP, CIHT, CEng
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2D) in highway layout design up to DMRB standard
* Proficient in the use of CAD based swept path analysis software
* Proficient in the assessment of junction capacity assessments (ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG etc.)
* Good knowledge of Autotrack
* Good presentational skills
* Be able to explain technical issues clearly and concisely
