Our prestigious client is a real estate investment advisory firm, with a focus on UK, European and US real estate investment opportunities. The firm handles the full cycle of investments in real estate assets, including Student Accommodation, Office, Hotel, Retail and residential sectors. The firm’s specialisation is in identifying off market transactions, undertaking highly specialized due diligence of the assets, financial and transactional modelling, legal structuring, financing and debt negotiating and the development and implementation of exit strategies working closely with operating partners.
The Associate/National Partner’s role requires proactive management and supervision of new and ongoing investment projects focused on investment analysis,financial modelling, due diligence work, including discussions with local service providers in country, site visits, transaction documentation, and working with local operating partners across the UK and Europe.
The role requires a comprehensive understanding of real estate investing in both the European and USA arena, investment analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence with in-depth project management of multiple projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for brokering the deals, managing, mentoring and developing junior level staff.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Evaluate, perform due diligence, report on real estate investment opportunities across European and USA markets
Create financial models, conduct market research, interact with operating partners, brokers, sellers, and advisors to evaluate investmentsand conduct due diligence
Manage multiple third-party due diligence processes and oversee technical, valuation, and legal advisors for multiple projects
Work with investors’ and co-investors’structuring and legal advisors to determine and implement the appropriate legal and tax structure for acquisitions
Prepare investment memoranda to summarize findings for internal and investor investment committees
Participate actively in regular meetings with existing and potential new investors senior management and investment committees to discuss and assess new investment opportunities and asset management of existing assets, to assess investor requirements, and to report on progress
Manage, mentor, and develop junior level staff

Skills, qualifications and experience required:

Successful track record in private equity real estate funds
Experience in real estate finance and development in office, hotel, residential, or other real asset classes is strongly preferred, with particular experience in the USA preferred, where the fund will look for some investments opportunities
Advanced understanding of investment, accounting, finance, and real estate terminology
Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills with ability to create financial models and be able to utilize valuation methods for asset valuations and appraisals
Experience managing due diligence processes including overseeing third party technical, valuation, legal and tax advisors and drafting of legal documentation structuring
Experience in drafting investment memos and asset management reports
Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills, especially with operating partners
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Degree infinance, economics or related field, as well as an MBA,preferred; CFAlevel experience preferred
In addition to English, fluency in another European language is preferred

Salary and benefits:
£60 - £100K plus full package and benefits
