An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our reputable client in Sheffield (office based) and Chesterfield (outreach based) in an extremely rewarding role.

My client provides assistance to disabled people in getting them into sustained employment. Customers include adults with disabilities that are economically inactive and referred to the service by the job centre plus DEAs. Customer groups also included are 18-24 year old's, 25 plus and those claiming JSA and Employment Support Allowance.

The Sheffield position involves working in a small team of 4 on a range of existing cases as well as creating new opportunities to also work on.

The Chesterfield position is a lone working position in which you would be based at several different locations.

Sheffield Position:

This position is office based, in a small team of 4. The key duties that the selected candidate will be required to perform are as follows -

Case manage customers who have been referred to my client and provide advice and guidance on paths into sustained employment that suit the individual needs of the customers.
Establish and deliver group and one-to-one activities as part of the empolyability assessments and action plans with clients.
Making contact and establishing relationships with Disability Employment Advisers to assist them in understanding the potential benefits of my client, and establish referrals.
Deliver group and one-to-one meetings following induction and assessments to identify individual learning and employment needs, plan training and work experience for customers.
Building rapport with clients and customers and establishing relationships between the two.
Recording sessions using STEP and co-ordinating further activity with the client.
Prepare and develop resources to support empolyability
Facilitate learning that improves the employ-ability and progression through progression through presentations and activities
Job-match and job-broker into employ-ability opportunities.
Continuously find ways to improve the service and on own performance.
Networking, marketing and promotion of service to partner organizations and customers.
Record all information in the appropriate areas and achieve high standards of compliance.

Chesterfield Position:

The position in Chesterfield carries the same duties however the selected candidate will be required to work "on the road", being based in Libraries and Job Centres. This role gives the selected candidate more opportunity to have a larger involvement with customers and clients face to face.

Required Experience / Skills / Knowledge

*NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent. Must be willing to work to appropriate qualifications as required

*Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills

*Experience of working to Targets and focusing on successful achievement of job outcomes

*Experience of working with disabled people and placing people in to suitable and sustained employment

*Knowledge of issues affecting disabled customers in employment including adaptation in the work place
